Robert Leon Kerby, 83, of Pickerington, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Wesley Ridge in Reynoldsburg. He was born December 14, 1932, in Annamoriah, W.Va., to the late Holly G. and Elizabeth (Gibson) Kerby. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Babcock & Wilcox with 42 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Stephen) Miller, of Pickerington; granddaughters, Stephanie (Charles) Clark, and Jennifer (Rachel Roberts) Miller; step-great-grandchildren, Graham, Grace, and Olivia Clark, all of Pickerington; brother, Foster (Janet) Kerby, Spencer, OH; sister-in-law, Phyllis Kerby, Hur, WV; brothers-in-law, Rev. Gene Kerby, Oak Hill, OH, and Rev. Harold Dusky, Summersville, WV; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Laurine (Kirby) in 2014; sisters, Pauline Duskey, Marie Kerby, Sue Kerby, Linda Kerby; and brother, William C. Kerby. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells with military honors. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
