Robert A. “Bob” Hill, Jr., 77, of Williamstown, WV passed away peacefully at his residence on July 1, 2024. He was born in New Martinsville, November 5, 1946, the son of the late Robert A. Hill, Sr. and Dorothy M. Manion Hill.
Bob was a member of 36th Street Church of Christ. He was a 38-year employee in the mould shop at Fenton Art Glass. He enjoyed fishing, golf and doing large puzzles and was an avid bowler. He also encouraged his children to bowl. He was a member of both the Parkersburg and State of West Virginia Bowler’s Hall of Fame. He helped establish the youth bowling league at Emerson Lanes and assisted with the bowling events for the local special Olympics.
Family left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Patricia E. Lamp Hill; Son, Robert A. Hill, III (Jeff) of Marietta and daughter, Amber Hill of Williamstown.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pat’s family, Dr. Caitlyn Santer, Amedysis Home Health and the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department along with our neighbors, family and friends for all of their compassion and care during Bob’s illness.
In honoring Bob’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
