Robert Morgan Floyd, 75, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away on June 28, 2015 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.He was born July 8, 1939, in Minneapolis, Minn., a son of the late, Morgan “Tex-Orton” and Grace Orton Floyd. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Public Debt. He was a member of the Apache Indian Tribe: Mescalero and Lowdell Methodist Church.He is survived by three daughters, Jennyfer Prez of Ravenswood, W.Va., Alicia Floyd of Glenville, W.Va. and Michelle Ross of Ravenswood; three grandchildren, Chance, Xander and Ayden Prez.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Lockhart Floyd; a son, Brian Floyd; and a sister, Alice Orton.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home,2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Ted Osgood officiating. Interment will follow at Pond Creek Baptist Church, Belleville.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
