Robert A. “Bob” Divvens, 88, of Parkersburg, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at his residence. Bob was born July 14, 1936 in Fairmont, WV. A son of the late Walter and Virginia Parker Divvens. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School where he was a gymnast and played football. After graduation Bob served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a draftsman for Murray Sheet Metal and for several years owned and operated the 19th Street Country Club in Parkersburg. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Nemesis Shrine Temple and the Royal Order of Jesters, Parkersburg Court #156. Bob enjoyed golfing and rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He is survived by three daughters; Susan Bowman (Tim) of Camden, CT., Debbie Rake (Kevin) of Charleston, WV., and Sandy Fox (Jim) of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Ruth Bowman, Marshall Holcomb and Daniel and Matthew Fox; one niece, Deanna Divvens and one nephew, Robert M. Divvens. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Hunter Edward Divvens. Per Bob’s request there will be no visitation or service.
