Robert "Allen" Daggett

Robert “Allen” Daggett, 75, of Parkersburg WV, passed away peacefully, November 16, 2024 at his home. He was born May 24, 1949 in Parkersburg to the late Rev. Raleigh and Betty Wood Daggett.

Allen graduated from Parkersburg South High School in 1969. He then joined the Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1972. He then returned back to Parkersburg and started his own business with Little Debbie Snack Cakes for 44 years as Big A Distributing. He loved to camp and fish. He took many camping trips over the years to his favorite spot in Richwood.

Allen is survived by the love of his life, Patty Hart Daggett whom he was married to for 54 years; two sons, Ryan (Amber) Daggett of Mineral Wells, Jeff (Billy) Daggett of Belleville; one daughter, Beth (Joe) Lewis of Parkersburg; two brothers, Larry Daggett of Rockport, Doug (Carla) Daggett of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Monica Daggett (Okan), Cody (Karin) Lewis, Jeremy Daggett, Chloe Daggett and fur grand-dogs, Lewy and Pumpkin Lewis.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Daggett; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Tallarico; nephews, Scott Daggett and Tony Daggett and his faithful companion, his cat Smoke.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kelil and all the staff at Amedysis Hospice for the great care he received.

Services for Allen will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, November 23rd at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg with Pastor Erik Nielsen and Alan Boone presiding. Visitation will be Friday, November 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 and also one hour before the service time. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg WV.
