Robert Lee Cranfield, 83, of Ravenswood, passed away May 28, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born January 25, 1942 in Cabin Creek, WV, a son of the late James and Sadie Mae Foster Cranfield.
He was a member of the Millwrights local union and a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Ripley. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as watching football, game shows, and the western channel.
Robert is survived by his partner, Ellen Crowder of Ravenswood; sister, Mary Moore; brother, Frank Cranfield; children, Edward Cranfield (Tonya) of Ripley, Robert Cranfield (Tammy) of Ripley, Kathryn Dowler of Ohio, Anna Bailey (Robert) of Ravenswood, Amanda Profitt (David) of Ripley, and Franklin Cranfield (Michelle) of Conway, SC; step-sons, David and Dale (Stephanie) Jones; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Hess Cranfield; one son, Boyd Cranfield; a sister, Betty Cranfield McMahan; and three brothers, Carl, Harry “Fuzzie”, and James “Bunny” Cranfield.
In keeping with Robert’s final wishes, he will be cremated, and a graveside service and celebration of life will follow at the convenience of the family. Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, is honored to serve the Cranfield family.
