Robert C. "Bob" Currence

Robert “Bob” Currence, 84, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Center. He was born May 21, 1934, in Harrison County, WV, a son of the late Russell C. and Ethel A. Walton Currence. Bob worked for Mountain State Steel for 21 years. He attended 14th Ave. Gospel Mission Church. He is survived by his son, Steve Currence (Judy) of Parkersburg; one sister, Mildred Oldaker of Mineral Wells; two grandchildren, Sara Raper (Daniel) and Samuel Currence (Whitney); and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Haley and Logan Raper. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Jr. and Marvin Currence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Dave Long officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
