Rick David Budgett

Rick David Budgett, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born June 14, 1953 in Marietta, a son of the late Ronald Budgett and the late Helen Burns.

He worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital as a boiler operator for 35 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar for the band “Work In Progress” at community events.

Rick leaves behind his wife, Deborah Carver Budgett and his children, Eric Budgett of Myrtle beach, and Molly Carver (Victor) of Parkersburg; siblings, Brad Budgett of Marietta, Greg Budgett (Lois) of Cleveland, and Lyette Burns Taylor of Belpre; grandchildren, Nathan, Rosie, and Tony Carver, and Max, Lily, Luca, Maci, and Dominque Budgett; nephews, Bradford Budgett (Jessica) and Zach Taylor; niece, Amanda Taylor; and his dogs, BooBoo, Budgie, and Maxie.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Budgett, and sisters-in-law, Janet Budgett and Susan Budgett; and former wife, Linda Budgett.

Per Rick’s final wishes there will be no public services.
