Richard Charles Taylor

Richard C. Taylor, 61, of Beverly, Ohio passed away April 16, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Richard was born March 6, 1956 in North Carolina, a son of the late Charles Edward Taylor and Mary Ann Taylor Cleland. Richard earned his associate degree from West Virginia University, Parkersburg and retired from Regis Corporation where he was a manager, he also was a regional general manager of Wendy’s, West Virginia. He enjoyed travel, especially to Quebec, Canada. He was a Penn State football fan and loved Peachy Paterno ice cream. Richard was also a fan of the Detroit Red Wings Hockey team. He is survived by his life partner of 21 years, Jason Henry of Beverly, Ohio; step-father, David Cleland, of Coolville, Ohio; daughters Lindsay Balderson of Ravenswood, WV and Allyse Taylor (Sarena Ruble) of Parkersburg, WV; a son Derek Taylor of Elizabeth, WV; sisters Tammy Cleland Taylor of Racine, Ohio and Dianna Jacobs (Shane) of Forrest, Virginia; brothers Greg Taylor (Cheryl) of Pomeroy, Ohio, Scott Cleland of Marietta, Ohio, and Brian Cleland (Deanna) of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren Chloey, Sidney, Gabriel, Aiden, Gage, and Kaylee; his furry friends Kitty and Dauby; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by twin sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday April 20, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with visitation 2 hours prior to the service.
