Richard Earl Sprigg January 21, 1968 – January 12, 2019 Ric Sprigg, 50, of Davisville, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1968 and brought home by his parents Robert M. and J. Louise Sprigg. Throughout his life, Ric was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and off-roading. He was passionate about bowling and Wednesday night trivia, his WV Mountaineers and Seattle Seahawks, and rescuing pit bulls. His colleagues at Home Depot were his second family and he was a friend to everyone he knew. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, and was a 1986 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He is survived by his parents; his son Tyler Sprigg (Shaeleigh) and grandson Evan, of Austin, TX; his daughter Shylah Moran (Shawn), of Belpre, OH; his sister Cindy Auvil (James), of Vienna, WV; his brother Jason Sprigg (Sandy), of Waverly, WV; his best friend, Tracey Echard, of Parkersburg, WV; and two nieces, three nephews, and two great nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Earl and Lucille Reynolds, and Jim and Edith Sprigg. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Burial will follow at the McMullen Cemetery near Borland Springs. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 14 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Ric to the Ohio State University Transplant Center in Columbus, OH.
