Richard "Dean" Small

Richard “Dean” Small, 78 of Bellville, passed away May 18, 2019. He was born April 20, 1941 in Wood County, WV, son of the late Frederick and Elsie Province Small. Dean was a former member of the National Guard and a member of Sarepta Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Grace Smith Small; two daughters, Marlene Shriver (John) of Belleville and Arlene Loiseau (Joe) of Mineral Wells; four sons, Michael Small (Judy) of Parkersburg, Mark Small (Vanessa) of Parkersburg, Marvin Small (Lisa) of Mineral Wells and Stan Small of Belleville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Small; and three sisters, Mamie Lynn, Eula Horner and Fern Houser. Funeral services for Dean will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Sarepta Baptist Church, Wadesville Road, with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lott Cemetery with military rites by Post #15 Parkersburg. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St, Parkersburg, and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church.
