Richard M. Hornbeck of Belpre, Ohio, passed away February 24, 2017 at his winter home in Avon Park, Florida. He was born August 25, 1944 in Parkersburg, W.Va. a son of the late Calvin H. Hornbeck and Frances E. Flinn Hornbeck. Richard retired from Ames Company after 35 years of service. He was co-owner of Hornbeck’s Bait and Tackle. He loved fishing and was known as a kind and gentle man. He is survived by his wife, Leonora (Kim) Kimberg Hornbeck; four sons, Richard Hornbeck of Vienna, W.Va., Kevin Hornbeck (Sally) of Vincent, Ohio, Clinton Hornbeck of Belpre, Ohio, and Bryan Burns (Peggy), of Vincent, Ohio; one brother, Lee Hornbeck of Reader, W.Va.; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Jacquay; and daughter-in-law, Dedra Hornbeck. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Home Cemetery, Belleville, W.Va. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral Home.
