Richard Lee Tennant

Richard Lee Tennant, 72, of Mineral Wells passed away June 15, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born September 28, 1944 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Rudy and Waneta Eaton Tennant. He was a Floor Tech for Patterson Cleaning and formerly worked at Stork's Bakery and Ward's Farm Supply. He enjoyed hunting and socializing with his family and friends. Richard is survived by his friend and partner of 30 years, Ethel Margaret Griffith; two daughters, Monica Scritchfield and Stephanie Randolph (Jamie) all of Parkersburg; four sons, Richard Manton Tennant (Angela) of Parkersburg, David Tennant (Deborah) also of Parkersburg, Rickie Tennant (Victoria) of Belleville, and Chad Tennant (Julia) of Vienna; two sisters, Ruth Ann Lemon (Paul) of Mineral Wells and Wanda May Snider of Davisville; four brothers, Blaine Tennant (Ruby) of Rockport, Victor Tennant (Billie) of Parkersburg, Larry Tennant and Gary Tennant both of Mineral Wells; nine grandchildren, two who spent much time with him, Rosa Leighann Tennant and Annabella Luciana Tennant; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Board and Elsie Simmons; and one nephew, Michael Simmons. The family will receive friends and family Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. There will be no service. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 3901 Briscoe Run Rd. #10, Parkersburg, WV 26104.
