Richard H. “Dick” Hunter, 87, of Belpre passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. Dick was born March 8, 1932 in Belpre, Ohio, a son of the late Howard D. and Roberta B. Adams Hunter. He was a 1950 graduate of Belpre High School. Dick was a retired carpenter having joined Carpenter’s Union Local 899 in 1950. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving as a Seabee during the Korean War. In his younger years, Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He loved spending time with his dogs and was a great supporter of the Humane Society. Dick was a member of Mullen Memorial Baptist Church. Dick is survived by his daughter, Cindy M. Treworgy and husband, Eric, of Warrenton, Va.; his son, Richard J. “Jeff” Hunter, of Belpre; a brother, William D. Hunter and wife, Susan, of North Carolina; and his dog, Cassie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Laura F. Siers Hunter, in 2010; and by an infant brother. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Pastor Seth Fallon officiating. Services will conclude with burial in Rockland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
