Rheba V. Arbogast, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born December 27, 1929, in Monterville, WV, a daughter of the late Brown and Mary M. Stalnaker Hoffman. Rheba was a minister’s wife and assisted her husband with his ministry. She was a choir director at various Methodist churches for 49 years. Rheba was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. She attended Salem College and was a graduate of Wilma Boyd Travel School. After graduation she hosted 12 tours to Europe and the Holy Land. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Ellen Dodrill (Lynn) of Parkersburg and Sherry Lynn LeMasters (Dana) of Parkersburg; one sister, Doris Ann Baker of Mill Creek, WV; two grandchildren, Matthew S. Dodrill (Carrie) and Lisa Marie Kruk (Corey); and two great-grandchildren, Holly and Hanna Kruk. In addition to her parents, Rheba was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend James B. Arbogast; and one brother, Robert Hoffman. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Michael Broadwater officiating. Burial will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens in Elkins, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
