Reta Delores Hinter

Reta Delores Hinter, 94, of Harmar Place, Marietta, OH, formerly of Williamstown, W.Va. and New Milton, W.Va., passed away January 10, 2011. She was born on October 2, 1916, in Puerto Rico, Doddridge County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude Schulte Bode. Her husband, Carl M. Hinter preceded her in death.Surviving are two daughters, Vivian Burton and husband Dave, Williamstown, W.Va., and Loreta Delaney and husband Richard of Vienna, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Debbie Goforth and husband Christopher, San Antonio, TX, Christy Burton, Columbus, OH, Meredith Delaney, Cincinnati, OH, and Matthew Delaney, Vienna, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Morris; and two brothers, Jim and Herman Bode.Mrs. Hinter was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted homemaker and will be sadly missed by her family.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Harmar Place of Marietta for the excellent and loving care Mrs. Hinter received over the years she resided there.Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Thursday January 13, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with the Rev. Erik Nielsen officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. at the Masonic Memorial Park, Crystal Lake, Doddridge County, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Wednesday January 12, 2011, and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society, P.O. Box 392, Parkersburg, W.Va., 26102. Envelopes will also be provided at the funeral home.
