Reta Jane Harriman, 88, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on November 24, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1928, in Onoville, NY, a daughter of the late William and Rose O'Day Whitcomb. Reta was a devoted mother and also enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed volunteering, crochet, and needle work. She loved music and was a self- taught musician. Reta loved watching football and was a Denver Broncos fan. She was kind to everyone and didn't know a stranger. She was incredibly generous person and a mother to everyone. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Noyes of Parkersburg, and Barbara E. Adams (Glenn) also of Parkersburg; two sons, Donald D. Harriman of Harrisville, W.Va. and Brian W. Harriman of West Union, W.Va.; one sister, Kathy Lindesmith of East Liverpool, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Wendy Albrighton, Yarrow Harriman, Machija Harriman, Meadow Harriman, Willow Harriman, Christopher Harriman, Harmony Harriman and Sarah Marshall; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Harriman; one son, Robert Harriman; and four brothers and five sisters. At Reta's request there will be no service or visitation at this time. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services is 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
