Reta Ann Goedeke

Reta A. Goedeke, age 90 of Vienna, WV passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born June 4, 1935, in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Delbert and Anna Hayes Clark. Reta was a 1953 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was retired from Sears Company after several years of service. She was a member of the St. Johns United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ester Circle and was a member of the Sand Hill C.E.O.S., where she was president.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred W. Goedeke; children, Patty Bell of Dallison, WV, Richard Rittenhouse of Parkersburg, Debra Allman of North Carolina, Alma Lawrentz of Parkersburg, Kathryn McDonald of Utah and Alfred Bud Goedeke of California; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Reta was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Ralph and William Clark.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Jason Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
