Raymond Victor Underwood

Raymond Victor Underwood, 85, of Belmont, WV., passed away peacefully September 8, 2024 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born June 20, 1939 in Tyler Co, WV. to the late Dale & Merle Underwood.

Raymond worked at Diamond Glass for over 20 years then opened Underwood’s Body Shop until retired.

He loved old cars, & going to car shows.

He is survived by six children, Patricia Pickens (Richard), Raymond Underwood Jr. (Theresa), William D. Underwood (Sharon), Bryan Underwood Sr., Brenda Wright (Ronnie), & Donna Connell (Bill Britton); ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris J. Underwood of 59 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024 at Lambert Tatman funeral home, south Parkersburg, with Lonnie Coats officiating. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
