Ralph E. Givens 81, Of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away peacefully September 17, 2016, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born August 26, 1935 in Grantsville, W.Va., the son of the late Charley Givens and Esta Richards Givens. Ralph was a United Steel Worker and retired after 35 years of service at Kardex. He enjoyed hunting and watching football. Ralph was a member of the First Baptist Church at Williamstown. Ralph is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Jean Steele Givens; two sons, Jeffrey Mark Givens (Penny) of Williamstown and Jonathan Darin Givens of Vienna, W.Va.; three sisters, Joann Porter (Brown) of Bristol, TN, Margaret Fleming of Grantsville and Donna Sams (Earl) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles Givens (Patricia) of Walker, W.Va. and Roger Givens of Grantsville; two grandchildren, Stephanie Frye (Todd) and Matt Cain (Amanda); five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Williamstown with Pastor Glenn Perry and Pastor Chad Mugrage officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
