Wesley Simpson, 53, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away November 6, 2016, at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born August 8, 1963 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, a son of the late Samuel James and Ellen Millen Simpson. Wesley worked at Westbrook Health Services and was a Certified Nursing Assistant. He was raised in the Church of Ireland. During the Troubles in Northern Ireland, Wesley proudly worked and volunteered for the Northern Ireland Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Offenders (NIACRO), an organization dedicated to the peace-keeping process and to working with children and families affected by the violence of the time. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Arnott Simpson; a step-son, Zachary Tumlin, of Princeton, W.Va.; one brother, Samuel James Simpson of Londonderry, Northern Ireland; two nieces, Carol Rimmer (Paul) and Natalie Harris; great- nieces and nephews, Jonathan and Connor Rimmer, Dale and Stuart Harris, Terri-Ann Boyer and Demi and Drew Simpson, all of Cleethorpes, England. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Douglas Simpson and a nephew, Keith Simpson. A memorial service will be held at 5;00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Fr. Gregory Myers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. A celebration of Wesley's life will continue at the North End Tavern at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to NIACRO , Amelia House, 4 Amelia Street, Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK.
