Priscilla Lee Wines, died peacefully on January 8, 2024 in Parkersburg, WV at the age of 84.
Priscilla was born on September 12, 1939, in Parkersburg, WV. She graduated from PHS in 1957, where she was a member of the Acapella Choir. She married Ronald D. Wines in 1960. The couple welcomed five children into their home. Priscilla raised her children with strong values and taught strength and independence to them. Her children remember her as caring and always being there for them.
Priscilla graduated from WVU-P with her BSN while raising her children. She began her 35-year career at St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg. Priscilla started at St. Joseph as a CCU & ICU nurse and moved up to become the Physician Recruiter for the hospital. She loved the travel and all aspects of recruiting some of the finest physicians and bringing them to work in Parkersburg.
Priscilla enjoyed golf, WVU football, raising German Shepherds and her faith was very important to her. She was a kind, loving and dedicated individual who loved her family and friends.
Pris was active in various organizations to include the American Heart Association, Beta Sigma Phi, PEO, Parkersburg Country Club, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Parkersburg Yacht Club, and one of the founders of the Parkersburg Kennel Club.
Pris is survived by children: Ronald D. Wines II, Mary Jane Coffman (JC), Laurie A. Courier, Andrea S. Howard (Mark) and Angela M. Wines, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren: siblings, D. Sue Rhymer, Judith A. Ball and Beverly J. Alfred.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald D. Wines, parents Betty Jane and Stacey D. Whitlatch and grandson Ronald D. Wines III.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Steve Vallelonga officiating, interment to follow, at a later date, at Mt. Carmel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Memorial Mass at the church.
