Phyllis T. Zinn Morrison, 79 of Washington, W.Va., formerly of Harrisville, passed away Nov. 23, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born Sept. 8, 1936 in White Oak, W.Va. daughter of the late Fred R. and Pauline M. Prunty Zinn. While living in Ritchie County, Phyllis worked at Howe's Store, and for the prosecuting attorney and probation offices, Wilson's Drug Store, and John B. Yates Lumber Co. Thereafter she retired from the First United Methodist Church in Parkersburg as a secretary. She enjoyed playing organ and piano and played for church services for 20 years. She enjoyed painting in oils, with landscapes and seascapes being her favorite. She also enjoyed canning, gardening, sewing and reading nonfiction books. Phyllis is survived by a daughter, Twyla Evitts of Avondale, PA; three sons, Mark Morrison of West Union, W.Va., Mike Morrison of Parkersburg, and John Morrison of Washington; one sister, Jean Serra of Washington; and seven grandchildren, Shandi, J.D., Tyler, Garret, and Toby Morrison, Alexandra and Grant Evitts; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Gene” Morrison. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St. Parkersburg. Private burial will be in the Oxford Cemetery in Doddridge County. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wed., Nov. 25, 2015 and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
