Leach, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully departed this life to join her Lord and her dearly beloved husband on Thursday, August 26, after a brief battle with cancer.She was born June 28, 1932, in Jackson County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Kenneth “Jake” and Bernice Hupp Snyder.Phyllis was a homemaker and was also formerly employed with Corning Glass. She was an avid Pittsburgh and WVU Mountaineer fan and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and currently attended Big Tygart United Methodist Church where she was a former member.Surviving are her loving children, including three daughters, Debbie Schiller (Dave) of Belpre, OH, Terri Patterson (Rich) of Jupiter, FL, and Regina Leach of Davisville, W.Va.; one son, Mike Leach (Ruth) of Williamstown, W.Va.; two brothers, Kenneth “Buck” Snyder Jr. (Lola) and Jack Snyder (Peggy), all of Vienna, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Mike Schiller, Brett Leach, and Jessica Patterson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Etsel “Red” Leach, who passed away in 2006; and one brother and his wife, Gene and Lenoire Snyder.The family wishes to thank Dr. Nik Shah and Housecalls Hospice for all the special care that was given during this difficult time.Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Monday August 30, 2010, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Pastor Jeff Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow at the Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8PM on Sunday August 29, 2010, at the funeral home.
