Pauline Deem, of Parkersburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Worthington Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 16, 1943, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Fred L. and Janie M. Maze Champ. Pauline attended the Davisville Community Chapel. She loved gardening and her flower gardens. She was a hard worker all her life. She is survived by her five daughters, Kimberly Shaffer of Ripley, WV, Sandra Shaffer, and Teresa Schreckengost both of Mineral Wells, Beverly Shaffer, and Maria Shaffer both of Parkersburg; one son, Dwayne Shaffer of Elizabeth; one brother, Donsel Champ of Ripley, WV. In addition to Pauline’s parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Farrel G. Shaffer; second husband, Bill E. Deem; and one brother, Denzil Champ. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Ray Seebaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
