Paul Pashkevich, 94, Parkersburg, W.Va., died on September 25, 2016, at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born July 23, 1922 in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Constantine and Anna Petrunik Pashkevich. Paul was a graduate of Wheeling High School and Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, he worked for health departments in McDowell, Roane, Jackson and Wood Counties, West Virginia, and for the West Virginia State Health Department. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Olga Takach Pashkevich; two sons, Paul Alan Pashkevich and daughter-in-law, Sabine of Bad Soden, Germany, and Michael David Pashkevich and daughter-in-law, Louise of Mandeville, Louisiana; three granddaughters, Marie Gilmartin and husband, Michael of Gainesville, Florida, Katherine Pashkevich of University City, Missouri and Nadia Pashkevich of Brighton in the United Kingdom; two grandsons, Michael of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Noah of Bad Soden, Germany; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Moulton of Waldorf, MD; brothers, Michael Pashkevich of Roseville, CA and Tony Pashkevich of Cobb Island, MD; and several nieces and a nephew. Appreciation is expressed for Paul's caregivers: Donna Knapp, Brenda Timm and Patty Burch. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va., with Reverend Roger Vernick officiating. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Red Hill at the convenience of the family.
