Paul Gene McGrew, 69 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away March 17, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1946 in Ripley, W.Va., son of the late Hugh B. McGrew and Hazel Barnhart Grady. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in Vietnam from 1964-1968. He was awarded the Purple Heart during his service and retired from the Marine Corps. He later worked for O. Ames and retired from Plant 2. He was a member of the DAV, AMVETS, VFW #1212, Elks #198 and American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Paul enjoyed shooting guns and fishing. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and family dinners. He is survived by his wife, Linda Echard McGrew; two sons, Joe McGrew (Amy) of Parkersburg and Paul Tony McGrew (Jane) of Leachtown, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen Westbrook, of Parkersburg and Edna Loughrey of Sandusky, Ohio; a brother, Earl Folden of Ripley, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan (Brooke), Megan, Jesse, Bella, Brock, Lexi and Bentley McGrew; two great-grandsons, Chance and Ryker McGrew; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Dawn McGrew; brothers, John and George Folden and Hugh McGrew; and sisters, Ethel Hurd and Marjorie James. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Robert Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.
