Patty L. Hickman 77, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away July 17, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born January 5, 1939 in Doddridge County, W.Va., the daughter of the late James P. and Rachel S. Pierce Leeson. Patty was a homemaker and worked for the Wood County Board of Education as a cook. She loved horses, tennis and gardening and serving her Lord. She was an active member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church where she had been involved with The Sanctuary House and numerous outreaches. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Bennett of Vienna and Tina Perdue (Kevin) of Williamstown, W.Va.; one son, Craig Hickman (Leslie) of Mt. Zion, W.Va.; sister, Margaret (Lucille) Perine (Alfred) of Pennsylvania; brothers, James Leeson (Jean) of Vienna and Charles Leeson (Sue) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hickman who passed in 2011; two sons, Jeffery and Phillip Hickman; and one brother, Jerry Leeson. Services for Patty will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Beechwood Presbyterian Church in Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in West Union, W.Va. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
