Patty M. Brown, 94, of Vienna, WV died on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at her residence. She was born on September 27, 1931 to the late Mildred (Burdette) Ayers and Archie Deem.
Patty was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Carl and Otta (Davis) Burdette and paternal grandparents, John and Kate (Kimes) Deem.
She had two half-sisters, the late Virginia (Leach) Hammond, and her brother-in-law, Earl (Pete) Hammond, Martha (Deem) Jalbert, and two half-brothers, William and Carolyn Deem, and infant brother, Dickie Leach, that was only two months old when he died.
She also leaves behind many friends she acquired during her life. They always made a difference in her life whether at work, church, or just every day.
Patty was married to the late Harold Richard Brown who preceded her in death on January 21, 1992.
She and Harold were blessed with three sons and their families: Harold Steven and Shirley Jean (Boley) Brown, Richard Eugene and Joyce (Batchelor) Brown, and James William and Deborah (Lamp) Brown; grandchildren, Harold Brown (Maria), Malissa Leach, Ian Brown (Christy), Andrew Brown, Jessica Lee (Brad), Jamie Webb, and Christina Jenkins (Luke); great-grandchildren, Adam, Jakob, and Grace Brown, Kaitlyn and Davis Leach, Eli, Evan, and Benjamin Brown, Travis, Ayerial, and Isabel Webb, and Adrianna and Wally Jenkins; great-great grandchildren, Rosemary, Ellie, Wesley, and Sophia.
Patty was retired from Bureau of the Public Debt after 32 years of service. She was an active member of the Fairview United Methodist Church, Washington, WV and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Fairview Red Hats and sang with the Fairview Five Gospel Group.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike st. with Pastor Jim Kelly officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service.
