Patricia Ann Sullivan, 58 of Walker, West Virginia, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, following a courageous battle with cancer on October 24th. Patricia was truly an incredible woman whose strength, love, and beautiful spirit touched the lives of so many. Though her passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on forever.
One of the greatest blessings of Patricia’s life was finding her true love, her beloved husband, Roger Sullivan. Their love was a precious gift, and together they shared many wonderful memories, including traveling to see some of the beautiful places the world had to offer. Their time together was a testament to the beauty of finding someone to share life’s adventures with.
Above all else, Patricia loved her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. She loved talking about each of them and never missed an opportunity to share how proud she was. Her family was her greatest treasure, and the love she poured into them will remain a lasting part of who they are.
Patricia leaves behind her loving husband, Roger Sullivan; her six children, Dreema (Jeff) Landis of Fairmont, West Virginia; Franklin (Halen) Cottrill of Charlotte, North Carolina; Joseph (Melanie) Cottrill of Walker, West Virginia; Sean (Ashley) Cottrill of Williamstown, West Virginia; Brandon (Savannha) Cottrill of Williamstown, West Virginia; and Austin (Emily Ann Kincaid) Cottrill of Bishopville, Maryland; and her two stepchildren, Dusty (Amy) Sullivan of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Mary Sullivan of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
She also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, each of whom brought joy and pride to her life: Rochelle, Jordyn and Madison Landis, Luka and Carson Cottrill, Jace, Adley, and Elisha Cottrill, Weston, Bowen, and Hallie Cottrill, Katalina, Kinsley, Kooper, Kimberlynn, and Kingston Cottrill, Roman Cottrill, Jackson and Zoe Sullivan. Her love for them was immeasurable, and each one held a special place in her heart.
Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Mary (John) Wright, Pamela McCarty, and Timothy McCarty, along with her stepfather, Clarence Lowe, and many other family members and loved ones whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Deloris Lowe; her brother, Lee Roy “Junebug” McCarty; and her sister, Emily McCarty.
Everyone who knew Patricia knew just how much she loved Christmas. It was her absolute favorite time of year. She loved decorating, making everything feel festive and special, and, most of all, spoiling the babies with gifts. Christmas brought out the joy in her heart, and the love she put into making the season magical for her family is a memory they will treasure for years to come.
Patricia’s life was defined by her love for her family, her devotion to those closest to her, and the countless memories she created along the way. Though her courageous battle has ended, her love will never fade. It will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Funeral service will be 12:00p.m., Friday, October 30, 2026, at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, with Pastor Joseph Cottrill officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Family will accept friends and loved ones for visitation on Thursday, October 29th from 3-7 PM at the funeral home as well as one hour prior to service on Friday.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Her family will carry her memory forward in every holiday tradition, every family gathering, every story shared, and every moment spent loving one another the way she taught them to.
Until we meet again, Patricia, may you rest peacefully, surrounded by the love you gave so freely throughout your life.
