A Memorial Video to Diane is now available on this site. Patricia “Diane” Edman McCrady, 60, of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away January 6, 2016. She was born July 31, 1955, in Parkersburg, W.Va. daughter to Edith Edman of Parkersburg and the late James Edman. Diane spent her entire life giving to others. Diane was a 1973 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and graduated from Parkersburg Community College with an RN degree. She worked over 30 years as a registered nurse giving care to others throughout her career at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Shell Chemical, and the Coordinating Council for Independent Living, to name a few. She was a very knowledgeable nurse and neighbors throughout the community would come to her for advice and care. She spent much of her time caring for her former husband, Scott L. McCrady. She gave back to her community volunteering for many years as the Rockport Challengers 4-H Club leader. Diane had a way of getting kids involved and was always the first one on the dance floor at the club’s community dances. She was always the parent with a carload of everyone’s kids and many of them referred to her as “mom”. Diane loved giving her time and energy to her family. She is mother to Amy McCrady Mitchell of Charleston, SC, Charles (Stacy) McCrady of Parkersburg, and Kristine McCrady of Washington. She was a wonderful influence to her five grandchildren, Sophia and Eli Mitchell and Lilly, Alyssa and Charley McCrady.
