Date and Time of Service: Thursday, July 29, 2010 1:00 p.m.posted 7/28/2010 at 8:34:57 AMOwen “Bruce” Lambert, 70, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on July 26, 2010 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.He was born July 10, 1940, in Middlebourne, W.Va., a son of the late John Edward and Leota Mildred Burbacher Lambert.Bruce was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from G.E. Plastics with 29 ½ years of service as a research lab assistant. He enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.He is survived by his wife, Karen Smith Lambert; three children, Michael P. (Mari Chu) Lambert of Virginia Beach, Va., and James P. (Diane) Lambert of Parkersburg, and Kathy (Richard) Jennings of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Faye Ann (Tommy) Walker of Saco, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Kerby, Chris, Trina, Mark, Steven, Kristin, Kaitlyn, Kendra and Grant.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Lambert.Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Chuck Furbee officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
