Ova Marie Sutherland

Ova Marie Sutherland, 93, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away May 15, 2012 at her home. She was born September 5, 1918 on Thomas Run in Belleville, W.Va.Ova was a homemaker and was very welcoming and loving to all she came in contact with. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and was a wonderful cook. She was a member of the Wood County Senior Citizens Association and a longtime member of St. Johns United Methodist Church of Vienna. Surviving is one daughter, Betty Mae Sutherland; one son, Edward James Sutherland, both of Vienna, W.Va.; one grandson, Clyde Sutherland of Alabama; and six great-grandchildren, Brandan, Andrew, Ryan, Kyle, Isaiah, and Jedediah Sutherland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ray Sutherland on February 18, 1961; two sons, Ira Lee and infant David Ray Sutherland; one grandson, Franklin Lee Sutherland; one sister, Mae Nutter; one brother, Raymond Bollinger; and three half-brothers, Holly, Charles, and Alvie Congrove. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. Johns United Methodist Church Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Rev. Danny McVey and Rev. Dr. William R. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. and from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church.
