Oran Delbert Winland

Oran Delbert Winland, 85 of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his residence.He was born January 12, 1929 in Pleasants County, W.Va., a son of the late Bennie and Rhoda Edna Tice Winland.Oran had previously worked for an Independent Terminaling Company, based in Houston, Texas and retired from the Mobil Oil Corporation. His religious affiliation was Methodist.Oran along with his wife of 66 years, Esther Elder Winland, made Boaz, W.Va. their home since 1964. He is survived by his wife, Esther; his son, Oran Dale Winland of Boaz, W.Va.; sisters, Bonnie Thomas, Mildred Efaw, and Shelba Brown (Lyndon); brother, Delno Winland; his in-laws, Lyle W. Elder (Nita), John Elder (Vondell), Delbert Elder (Kathy), Charlie Elder (Mary), June Jones (Joe), Carmen Powell (Hal), Jackie McIntyre (Gary), and Beth Hess (John); and several nieces, nephews, and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela K. Winland; his brothers, Homer and Denton Winland; sister, Phyllis Coplin Barley; and sister-in-law, Carole Elder Bills and husband Edgar.The family requests no floral memorials.Private family memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Sandy Runion officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
