Date and Time of Service: 1PM Wed., Nov. 24, 2010 – Viennaposted 11/21/2010 at 10:57:39 AMOpal Edith Maze Davis, 95, of Vienna, W.Va., formerly of Brohard, W.Va., passed away November 20, 2010, at Worthington Manor.She was born October 7, 1915, in Wirt Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Homer J. and Lottie Mills Maze.Opal was the oldest living member of the Straight Creel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother.Opal is survived by her daughters, Marion J. Kelley of Vienna, W.Va. and Phyllis Cheuvront also of Vienna, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Steve Cheuvront (Jenean), Ronald Cheuvront (Becky), Randy Cheuvront (Janelle), and Kim Gant (George); nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Downy; nephew, Larry Downey; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, John Waggoner; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Davis and Mary Davis.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, Lonnie J. Davis in July 24, 2006; one grandson, Jeff Cheuvront; son-in-law, Ken Cheuvront; and her step-mother, Elma Maze.Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Wednesday November 24, 2010, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Rev. Dennis Pratt officiating. Entombment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-8PM on Tuesday November 23, 2010, at the funeral home.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Worthington Manor Nursing Facility and Housecalls Hospice for their genuine care.
