Bill Malm, 73, formerly of Vienna, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Arbors at Marietta. He was born in Parkersburg September 5, 1945, a son of the late Ole B. and Orva Engle Malm. Bill graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1963, and received a two year degree from Mountain State Business College. He formerly worked for W.H. Smith Hardware in Parkersburg. Bill spent many years in the Oil and Gas Industry having owned and operated Mountain Williams Oil and Gas. He formerly owned and operated The Bargain Barn in North End. He also owned and operated a mobile headlight restoration business called Auto Vision, operating in West Virginia, Tennessee and South Carolina. Bill was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Vienna. He is survived by two sons, Ron Malm (Becky) of Ladson, SC, and Jim Malm of California; six grandchildren, Kathleen Johnson, Ashley Redfern (Justin), Autumn Jarrell (Adam), Ayden Malm ,Tyler Malm and Nicholas Malm; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Jonathan, Oakley, Hudson, Waylon and Dustin; and several cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday March 15, 2019 at The Independent Baptist Church in Vienna with Pastors Mike Elder and Robert May officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Independent Baptist Church Mission Program.
