Ola V. "Bunk" Nichols, Jr., 75, of Parkersburg, passed away December 17, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born December 8, 1950, in Spencer, a son of the late Ola V. Sr. and Evelyn V. Swick Nichols.
He was retired as a carpenter from Corning Glass, Schott Scientific, after 32 years of service, and most currently at TLC. He loved going out dancing, music, riding his Harley, traveling, cruising, and his hotdog runs with his buddies, Mike and Jim, and the late Dave. Although he was a hotdog connoisseur, he loved to eat in general, especially at White Castle. He lived for his grandbabies, and had a special furbaby, Baby Nichols.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Nichols; his children, John Wesley (Missy) Nichols of Reynoldsville, PA, Valerie (Tyler) Thompson, of Crates, PA, Nancy Goff of Parkersburg, and Kimberly (Travis) Jarvis of Cutler, OH; grandchildren, Johnny, Alex, Matthew, Jessica, Kiana, Chad, Daniel, Tori, Brooklyn, Savannah, Ryder, and Dominick; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Grace Poston; and two brothers, John (Joyce) Nichols and Ted Nichols.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. South Parkersburg, with Pastor Randy Dornon officiating. Burial will follow at Otto Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
