Okey J. Hickman, 83, of Elizabeth, W.Va. passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1933 in Palestine, W.Va. a son of the late Carter and Iva Patterson Hickman. Okey was a United States Army Veteran. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, camping and the beach. He was a member of the American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg and was a Catholic by faith. He is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Rejonis (Gregory) of Washington, W.Va. and Irene Prezioso of Columbia SC; three sons, Donnie Hickman of Palestine, W.Va., Jerry Hickman (Viola) of Barberton, OH and Carl Hickman of Palestine, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Hollie, Erika, Alan, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Levi, Hardin and Tate; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Charlie, Shelton, Shandon and Hyland;one sister, Kathryn Bonenberger (Calvin) of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Cote'Hickman; one son, Allen Hickman; son in-law, Bryan Prezioso; one brother, Bill Hickman; and one sister, Virginia Woodyard. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Jim Lynch officiating.
