NorvilOkey Deem, 91, of Vienna,W.Va. passed away June 23, 2015 at Heartland of Marietta, Ohio.He was born September 29, 1923 in Huntington, W.Va., the son of the late Okey T. and Viola I. Durfee Deem.Norvil retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1985, was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vienna where he was a Deacon for many years. He was an Infantryman in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign in the Army in WWII and received 2 Bronze Battle Stars, a Purple Heart and various medals. He is survived by two daughters, Kim Brundige (Ed) and Linda Walker (Mark); four step-sons, James (Gina), Carey , Craig (Julie) and Brian (Billie) Richards: one sister, Charotte Barrett of Vienna; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jenny; second wife, Sylvia; one brother, Bernard; and one sister, Carrie Caplinger.Funeral services for Norvil will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastors Jim Yoak and Scott Kapple officiating with Military Honors Ceremony by the American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens in Parkersburg. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
