Norman Lynn Wyatt, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away January 30, 2026 at Encompass Health and Rehabilitation hospital. He was born May 1, 1953, a son of the late Glen and Freda Thompson Wyatt.
Norm worked for the US Postal Service in Parkersburg for over 30 years, retiring in 2013. After he retired, he moved to Silverthorne, CO for 10 years before returning home to Parkersburg. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings and friends, and talking with his grandkids often. He loved cheering on his Mountaineers, especially in basketball. He will always be remembered by his family as “The Birthday Bandit.”
Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Staci Cobb (Matthew) of Savannah, GA. and Sheri Zayas (Hector) of Jacksonville, FL.; his step-sons, Jeremy Deem (Jennifer Kagan) of Buena Vista, CO. and Jason Deem (Amanda) of Durango, CO.; grandkids, Alyssa, Joseph, Luka, Ezra, Milo, and Emma; a brother, Jerry Wyatt (Judy) of Belpre, OH.; two sisters, Judy Hutchinson (Larry) of Little Hocking, OH. and Karen “Susie” Spencer of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Deem Wyatt.
Per Norm’s final wishes, he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring, in Parkersburg, details pending with the family.
