Norman C. Farnsworth, 83, of Parkersburg passed away June 30, 2019. He was born September 4, 1935, in Parkersburg, the youngest of three sons of the late Carroll and Lelah Gorrell Farnsworth. Norman was a veteran of the United States Air Force; having served in Texas, Alaska and Maine. He was also a postal worker for 31 years in Parkersburg. He was also a Master Mason of the A.F. & A.M. Mt. Olivet Lodge 3, life member of the DAV Snake State Chapter #14, and was active with the Shriners International, Nemesis Shrine. Norman is survived by his five nephews and two nieces – Jeff Farnsworth of Overland Park, Kansas; Gilbert Farnsworth, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia; Phil Wolfe of Chicago, Illinois; John Wolfe of Plainfield, Illinois; Amy Farnsworth of Glouster, Ohio; Bill Farnsworth of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Robin Farnsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and several grandnephews and grandnieces. Internment with full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 9 at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton.
