Norma Jane Summers

June 4, 1930 — March 31, 2024

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, Norma Jane Summers, 93, of Vienna. Born June 4, 1930.
She walked peacefully with the Lord on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, to join her very much missed heavenly family, while surrounded by her loved ones. Norma was the first-born child of seven to the late Robert and Hattie Workman.
Norma is now reunited with her husband of 71 years, William Paul Summers. Together they raised three children, Greg (Karen) Summers, Fred Summers both of Parkersburg and Gina (Danna) Rhyne of Vienna, of whom later with great honor became caregivers to both parents.
She is also survived by one brother, Larry Workman; one sister, Diane Owens; and many grandbabies, including her best birthday gift ever, Rhett.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Norma was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Robert Workman; two sisters, Willa Lea Grimm and Wilma Bailey; and two grandchildren, Shane and Christina.
Norma and Paul were lifetime members of Wesley United Methodist Church of Vienna.
With much gratitude our family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Vienna for going above and beyond for us. We are forever grateful for our lifetime friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Gene Full officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
