Norma Jean Nedeff, 79, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away at her residence on Dec. 21, 2015. She was born Feb. 22, 1936, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jesse and Helen Campbell Sams. Norma was a homemaker and a dedicated wife and mother who was very involved in the lives of her children. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing tennis and Bingo. She is survived by one daughter, Dava Baumann (Gregg) of Fairfax, Va.; two sons, Michael Hamrick (Joanie) of Fort Collins, Colo. and Dr. David Nedeff (Jenny) of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Millie Beall of Glenville, W.Va. and Alice Dillon of Belpre, Ohio; two brothers, John Sams (Joyce) of Parkersburg and Jim Sams (Teita) of Newport News, Va.; and 11 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Nedeff; one daughter, Pamela Kimble; four sisters, Mary James, Daisy Weber, Dolly Sams and Joanne Sams; and two brothers, David Sams and Robin Myers. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400Green St., Parkersburg with Father George Nedeff officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Parkersburg at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
