Norma Jean Ellison Hodgson Graves, is resting peacefully in the Arms of Jesus. Norma Jean was born in Braxton County, WV, to Charles Olan Ellison and Delphia Sears Ellison on June 28, 1939. Norma Jean is survived by one son, James Clifford Hodgson of Parkersburg; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Johnson (Wally) of Newark, WV and Phyllis Graves of Alabama, also surviving are four sisters, Emma June Patterson of Canton, OH, Carolene Kay Yeater (Lawrence) of Waverly, Charlotte Ann Bunner (Bill) of Parkersburg and Shirley Susie Ashley (Roger) of Veto; two brothers, Paul Mitchell “Mick” Ellison (Bonnie) of Parkersburg and James Olan Ellison of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Shannon, Lynetta and Amanda; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, John Clifford Hodgson, her second husband, Joe Bennett Graves; two daughters, Etta Jean and Ester Diane; two sons, Steven Bennett Graves and John Charles Hodgson and a brother, Charles (Chuck) Ellison. Norma Jean was an antique dealer and enjoyed reading, writing and making floral arrangements. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, September 24th. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M., Monday and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
