Norma Jean Cowley, age 85, of Parkersburg, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Reginald "Tubbs" Cowley. Born on July 15, 1935 in Orlando, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Granville Alexander and Harriet Beatrice Lucille (Wilson) Cayton. Norma loved bowling and the Kentucky Derby! She was a U.S. Government analyst and her wonderful retirement job at Kohl's gave her 12 more happy work years and many friends. Norma is survived by her daughter, Mickey Cowley-Kimata (Wes); granddaughter, Tink Fazekas (Josh), grandson, Austin Kimata, great grandsons, Jack, Dean, and Redd Fazekas; sisters, Evelyn Moneypenny, Mattie McClung, and Helen Carder; brothers, Thorne Cayton (Donna), Bill Cayton (Dee), and Charlie Cayton (Karen); and extended family. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ricky J. Cayton; and siblings, Bud Cayton, Claude Cayton and Virginia Meyers. A memorial service will be held in Parkersburg, WV on Saturday, June 26th, 2021, 11am-1pm at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with services following at Long Point Cemetery in Walkersville at 3pm.
