Norma Ruth Brookover

Norma Ruth Brookover, 92, of Vienna passed away November 10, 2018 at Harmar Place in Marietta. She was born March 21, 1926 in Wood County, WV, a daughter of the late Ake William and Mary Staats Cross. She had worked at Harold's IGA in Vienna and at Speedy's in Marietta. Norma was a member of the 36th St. Church of Christ in Vienna, loved music and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Sue Spencer of Vienna; a son, Robert Mike Brookover (Patti) of Vienna; three grandchildren, Robert Paul Brookover, Michael Biff Brookover (Holly) and Jeff Spencer; two great-grandchildren, Mikayla Brookover and Bailey Spencer, along with a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Brookover; a granddaughter, Felicia A. Hopkins; a sister, Marie Pittman; and a brother, Bob Cross. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna with Pastor Terry Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
