Ed MorrisonNolin Edwin “Ed” Morrison of Dupont Road, Parkersburg, departed this life on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at his brother's residence on Sams Creek Rd.He was born January 27, 1950, the son of the late Robert R. “Russ” and Clara B. “Byrl” Stringer Morrison.He was a 1968 graduate of Wirt County High School.His early life was spent in Wirt County and moved to Wood County soon after graduation.He retired from Dupont.He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed boating and camping with close friends.He is survived by one sister, Sandy Morrison Davis (Gary) of West Melbourne, Fla.; brothers, Lee (Sue) Morrison of Mineral Wells, Jim Morrison and Steve Morrison of Newark, W.Va.; one niece, Sarah Morrison of New Jersey; nephews, Craig Morrison of Vienna and Ethan Morrison of Hawaii; Aunt Kate LaRue of Melbourne, Fla., Uncle Harvey Morrison (Louise) of Parkersburg, Aunt Nina Chipps (Jim) of St. Marys, Judy McGown (Chuck) of Lisbon, Ohio, Uncle Dave Stringer (Lea) of New York, and Paul Stringer of Parkersburg; and a host of cousins and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; one brother, Ted in 2008; five aunts; five uncles; and some cousins.Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Elvis Galbreath officiating.Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
