Nieta Earline Nicholas

Nieta E. Nicholas, 79, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Eagle Point Nursing Facility.She was born on November 3, 1931 in Wood County, W.Va. a daughter of the late Earl A. Sands and Artie O. Stephens Sands.Nieta was a retired teacher's aide from Williamstown Elementary School. She also worked at Parkersburg Catholic Elementary School and Fairplain Elementary School. She was a member of Christ Memorial Episcopal Church, the Williamstown Women's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 159 and Williamstown Senior Citizens.She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Nicholas; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Schweitzer (Tom) of Baton Rouge, LA, Jan Stevens of Marietta, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jenice Binegar of Williamstown, W.Va., Jason Schweitzer of Vail, Colorado, Jeff Schweitzer of Baton Rouge, LA, and Jennifer Schweitzer of Denver, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Justice and Elijah Binegar of Williamstown, W.Va.Also surviving is one brother, Aubrey Sands of Boaz, W.Va.; and two sisters, Wanda Bennett of Vienna, W.Va., and Patty Anderson of Belpre, OH.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Sands, Donald Sands, Clyde Sands and Harlan Sands; and one sister, Lona Ritchie.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Williamstown, W.Va.
