Nelle Evelyn Dalton

Nelle Evelyn Dalton, 88, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on July 16, 2011 at her residence.She was born September 24, 1922, in Roane County, W.Va. a daughter of the late William E. and Martha Hunt Ellison.Nelle was a graduate of Spencer High School, a homemaker and loved gardening and cooking.She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church and the Believer's Sunday School Class.She is survived by two daughters, Shauna (Robert) Kirby of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Janine Farr of Belmont, W.Va.; one son, William G. Dalton of New Martinsville, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon H. Dalton; her daughter-in-law, Starlene Dalton; four brothers; and 3 sisters.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Joe Busch officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.The family would like to thank Nelle's nurses and Housecalls Hospice staff for all their support.
