Monoka I. Blair, 77, of Marietta, Ohio passed away at her home Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.She was born Oct. 13, 1933 in Withers, W.Va., a daughter of the late Omar Cleveland and Alda Ruth Kuhl Godfrey.Mrs. Blair was a homemaker and had previously worked as a home health care provider. She loved music and played several instruments.She was a Protestant by faith.She is survived by her husband, Earl I. Blair; a daughter, Angela Abel and husband, Mike, of Stockport, Ohio; a son, Kerry D. Blair of Marietta, Ohio; two sisters, Jean Dunlap of St. Albans, W.Va. and Patricia Leach of Grantsville, W.Va.; one brother, Kenneth Godfrey and wife, Jean, of Grantsville, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Taralynn, Danny, Matthew, David and Elisabeth; and eleven great-grandchildren.Per Monoka's request there will be no public visitation or service.A private family service will be held with interment at East Lawn Memorial Park, Marietta.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre.For those considering an expression of sympathy, memorials are preferred to Marietta Home Health & Hospice, 210 N. 7th Street, Suite 400, Marietta, OH 45750.
